Listen, let me tell you, summer is here! Nope, there’s no more time to get your beach body together. Sorry boo! It is what it is.
Be that as it may, this is me reminding you not to overdo it in the gym.
I mean, I’m not gonna lie, I’m guilty of it too. Just the other day, when I was thinking about how I’m gonna look in this cute bikini I just bought, I hit the gym extra heavy. Like, I taught my three aerobics classes, PLUS I participated in a new class. It’s called “WIPPED”— they offer it at Equinox— and boy, does it whip you into shape! After all that, I was sore in places I forgot about! And then I had the nerve to pop out of bed early the next morning thinking I was gonna do the same thing all over again.
Uh, no. My body was not having it, ya’ll.
I was yelling at my body to, “get it right and keep it tight” but my body was yelling right back, “you’re not 21 any more!” Ultimately, my body won and I took a rest.
So that’s just a reminder for you to relax a little– not too much. You can still pace yourself and achieve your beach-body goals. Just don’t overdo it!
