Not sure about you, but my metabolism was a lot kinder to me when I was was in my 20s. Back then, a girl could have a cupcake and dance it off on Friday night. But now, that same cupcake will cost me an extra 60 minutes at the gym!

After the “Dirty Thirty”, you begin to lose muscle, and your natural calorie-burning ability slows down even more. The “Fabulous Forty” is when things really get start to get wild due to the fact that your body is preparing to close up the baby machine, and your estrogen, progesterone and human growth hormones decrease. So basically, it’s a great idea to step up your exercise during this time.
