2016 has been off to a great start for me. The only problem with so many amazing things happening at once is that my mind can’t seem to turn off at night, which is killing my beauty sleep. So here’s a short list of some ways I’ve come up with to help me hit the pillow a little more quickly…
- Taking a hot bath is my go-to for relaxing my body. I also like to play a little music in the background.
- Covering my eyes completely with a sleep mask helps. Sometimes even the smallest amount of light can mess with your sleep, so no tv, smartphone or computer at bedtime.
- Not sure about you, but I naturally like to sleep with the temperature a little on the low side, with a pile of blankets on. A colder bedroom means your body will function at calmer, more restful speeds.
- Last, but not least, try not to drink caffeine after 3pm.
