Believe it or not, yoga counts as cardio! All you have to do is try a few sun salutations (or any flows) at a good, steady pace while matching your breath to your movement.
I love the gym, but let’s be honest… it’s a super-competitive environment! Sometimes a fast-paced spin class or trying to run longer than the girl ten years younger than you on the treadmill is great to blow off some steam… but yoga is good for the mind, body and soul. Not to mention, you are less likely to get injured. In yoga, you learn to unite your body and mind. And the best part is that the focus is on building an injury-free, strong, healthy and whole YOU.
